Lifestyle Medicine Team Celebrates the Power of Gratitude

Helping our associates live their healthiest and happiest lives is a top priority at Hendricks Regional Health. It’s one reason why our Lifestyle Medicine team works so hard to offer a wide variety of free and low-cost programs to help associates and their loved ones be successful in their health and wellness goals.

The team of certified health coaches has contributed to hundreds of success stories over the years by assisting with goal setting, accountability and well-being education. In March, they decided it was time for a celebration! “We wanted to highlight the success and engagement we have seen from our patients over the past couple of years,” said Nicholas Galley, Team Lead for Lifestyle Medicine at Hendricks.

The team invited patients they have coached since the program’s inception to a night of appreciation and gratitude. This included associates and patients from our employer partners. Patients who attended shared their health journeys, challenges they faced, revelations they had and successes they achieved. Dr. April Johnson, Medical Director of Lifestyle Medicine at Hendricks, applauded everyone’s commitment. “We know prioritizing and making sustainable change is daunting,” she said. “This is why we emphasize taking small steps to achieve our best selves as well as the importance of celebrating those small steps.”

The event was such a hit that the team is already planning another next year to highlight the continued success of the patients they serve!
